How ECCD Works

The ECCD process begins with available positions posted in a dedicated spot on the web-based Symplicity recruiting system. Interested candidates from participating schools will apply, and employers will receive a bundle of resumes and cover letters by e-mail at the end of the application period. Following review of the applications, employers e-mail their accepted and alternate candidates to the program coordinator and host school.  Interview schedules are then created and provided to the employers prior to the event.

An interview schedule for ECCD consists of 13 slots, each 30 minutes long, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with 2 scheduled breaks and a lunch break. Employers are welcome to register for more than one interview schedule to meet more qualified candidates during the day.

  • $650 per schedule for Registration – Includes pre-screened interview event, 13 available interview slots, refreshments and lunch for 2 representatives.
    • Early bird rate - Discounted rate for early registration. See timelines for Early Bird rate & registration deadline.
  • $350 per schedule for Non-Profit Registration – Includes pre-screened interview event, 13 available interview slots, refreshments and lunch for 2 representatives.

  • Interview Requirements: Each employer/organization is required to choose one candidate to interview from each of the participating schools, IF they have received at least 3 student applicants from that participating school. Once this requirement is filled, then the organization can fill remaining slots with additional candidates from any of the nine schools. Employers are not required to select students who do not meet the posted qualifications for the position(s).
  • Refund Policy: No employer/organization will be refunded their registration fee once they receive applications unless the ECCD Consortium is unable to provide the number of applicants (13) to create a full schedule. For each schedule that you have registered, you will not receive a refund unless you receive less than 13 applicants. If you do choose to participate with less than 13 applicants, you will be expected to pay the full registration fee (there will be no partial refunds).
  • Additional Schedule(s): If an employer/organization chooses to purchase an additional schedule(s) as a result of the applications they receive, then they are expected to pay the additional fee associated with multiple schedules.
  • Non-Discrimination Policy: The colleges of Eastern College Career Day – Boston and New York – are committed to a policy against discrimination in employment based on sex, sexual orientation, marital or parental status, race, color, creed, national origin, age, disability, or citizenship (unless legally required).
